Wine Spectator And Whisky Advocate Revealing Their Top Selections Of The Year

It’s a big week in the wine and spirits world, as the editors of leading publications Wine Spectator and Whisky Advocate unveil their top wines and whiskies of 2017.

Each year since 1988, Wine Spectator has released its Top 100 list, where the magazine’s editors select the most exciting wines from the thousands reviewed during the course of the year. This week, the top 10 wines are being unveiled in stages, leading up to the Wine of the Year announcement on Friday. The remaining wines in the Top 100 will be revealed on Monday, November 20.

Whisky Advocate has also begun its annual awards countdown, celebrating the Top 20 Whiskies of the Year. Yesterday, the magazine named numbers 10, 9, and 8 in its annual ranking. Today, whiskies number 7, 6 and 5 have been announced, and numbers 4, 3 and 2 will follow tomorrow. On Thursday, Whisky Advocate will unveil its Whisky of the Year for 2017.
