News Briefs for November 21, 2017
November 21, 2017•Proximo Spirits is expanding its Irish whiskey portfolio with the launch of The Sexton Single Malt. Retailing at $28 a 750-ml., The Sexton is made from 100% malted barley and triple-distilled in copper pot stills. It’s then aged for four years in ex-Oloroso Sherry butts. The new entry, which is packaged in a black, hexagonal-shaped bottle, is rolling out exclusively in the U.S. market. Proximo’s Irish whiskey stable also includes Bushmills. Earlier this year, Bushmills extended its range with Bushmills Red Bush, a 40%-abv blend of single malt and single grain whiskey matured in first-fill Bourbon casks.
