Diageo Unveils Latest Orphan Barrel Whisky
December 18, 2017Diageo has officially launched Entrapment, a new Canadian offering under its Orphan Barrel collection of limited whiskies. Entrapment is a 25-year-old, 41%-abv expression that was originally part of a batch of Crown Royal Fine De Luxe, distilled in 1992. The mashbill is 97% corn and 3% malted barley. Entrapment, the first Canadian whisky in the Orphan Barrel collection, is available now across select markets retailing at $150 a bottle. Previous releases in the Orphan Barrel series have included Barterhouse Kentucky Bourbon (20-year-old), Old Blowhard Kentucky Bourbon (26-year-old), Rhetoric Kentucky Bourbon (20-year-old, 21-year-old, 22-year-old and 23-year-old), Lost Prophet Kentucky Bourbon (22-year-old), Forged Oak Kentucky Bourbon (15-year-old), The Gifted Horse American Whiskey (4-year-old) and Whoop & Holler (28-year-old). —Daniel Marsteller
