November 5, 2018•Milton, Delaware’s Dogfish Head Brewing Company has released its IPAs For The Holidays variety pack. The 12-pack includes two beers that will only be available in the sampler. The first exclusive, Viniferous IPA, is a 6%-abv ale fermented with Riesling and Viognier grapes and hopped with fruity varieties to match the character imparted by the grapes. Sixty One is another beer-wine hybrid from the brewery that clocks in at 6.5% abv and is fermented with Syrah grapes. In addition, the 12-pack will feature Dogfish Head’s 60 and 90 Minute IPAs.
•Kansas City, Missouri’s KC Bier Co. will launch Winterbock, its winter seasonal, in bottles for the first time on November 12. The 8.25%-abv lager is brewed with German malt and hops to create a rich dark doppelbock. KC Bier’s Winterbock will be available in 6-packs of 12-ounce bottles and on draft through mid-February in select markets throughout Kansas and Missouri.
•Lansdale, PA’s Boardroom Spirits has expanded its distillery and tasting room by 2,400 square feet. The company, which produces a range of vodkas, rums, and fruit and vegetable spirits, added an additional 528-gallon still and expanded its tasting room with the upgrade. With the undisclosed investment, Boardroom says it has quadrupled its production capacity.
