Craft Brewing and Distilling News for January 17, 2020

•Nevada’s Frey Ranch Distillery has launched its first Straight Bourbon whiskey. The 45% abv spirit is distilled from a mash of corn, winter cereal rye, winter wheat, and two-row malted barley, all grown on the Frey Ranch farm. Master distiller and crop adviser Russell Wedlake distilled the ground-to-glass whiskey with assistance from Colby and Ashley Frey, who own the farm and founded the distillery. Frey Ranch Straight Bourbon Whiskey retails at a suggested price of $50 a 750-ml. It’s currently available only in Nevada but will launch in California in the spring.
