April 10, 2020•Companies from across the beverage alcohol world continue to expand aid campaigns as the Covid-19 pandemic keeps the on-premise shuttered. Diageo has kicked off the #TipsFromHome campaign with at $500,000 donation. The campaign features cocktail-making videos using Bulleit and a weekly feature on Jimmy Kimmel Live called Cocktails De La Casa. During the activations, Diageo will donate $1 (up to $1 million) to the U.S. Bartenders Guild when viewers share an image of a cocktail with the hashtags #TipsFromHome and #DiageoDonation.
•Massachusetts-based wholesaler Martignetti Companies is pledging $250,000 to provide aid to restaurant employees across the U.S. Initially, the company will donate $120,000 split between the Greg Hill Foundation’s Restaurant Strong Fund ($50,000), the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Foundations’ Hospitality Employee Relief Fund ($20,000), and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s Employee Relief Fund ($50,000).
•Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey has donated $100,000 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Covid-19 fund. The money will provide meals, protective equipment, and, if needed, mortgage payments for health care workers battling the virus. Additionally, Proper No. Twelve is selling ‘One For All’ t-shirts with 100% of the money going to Tunnel to Towers.
