Moët Hennessy USA Brings Château d’Esclans In-House

December 3, 2020

Moët Hennessy has taken over distribution duties for Château d’Esclans’ portfolio of Provençal wines in all 50 states. The rosé-focused brand, in which Moët Hennessy took a majority stake late last year, has previously been handled by Shaw-Ross International Importers.

The d’Esclans portfolio has been a strong performer in a challenging year; in October, Moët Hennessy pointed to its strong sales as a pillar of the company’s rebound in the U.S. following the worst of the Covid-19 shutdowns in the spring. In October, Market Watch Magazine named The Palm by Whispering Angel as the best new wine product of the year.—Shane English
