Whisky Advocate Names Its Whisky Of The Year

After counting down the Top 10 most exciting whiskies of 2020 this week at whiskyadvocate.com/top20, Whisky Advocate has revealed its Whisky of the Year this morning, bestowing the award on a wheated barrel-strength straight Bourbon.

Yesterday, whiskies No.-4, No.-3, and No.-2 were named, including two straight Bourbons and a single malt Scotch whisky, preceded by Nos.-7, -6, and -5 (two straight rye whiskies and a single malt Scotch), and Nos.-10, -9, and -8 (an Irish single pot still, a single malt Scotch, and a blended malt Scotch).
