Craft Brewing and Distilling News for October 26, 2021
October 26, 2021•Frederick, Maryland-based Flying Dog Brewery is launching its highest-abv beer to date. New release Triple Dog Triple IPA is brewed to 18% abv. Flying Dog notes that brewing to such a high abv introduces variability between batches, so each 4-pack will include a QR code consumers can scan to learn the exact abv of that batch; the first batch came to 18.6% abv. Triple Dog is made with Citra and Simcoe hops for citrus and resinous notes. It will hit shelves by the end of this month in 4-packs of 12-ounce bottles. Flying Dog is ranked No.-35 among craft brewers in the U.S., according to the Brewers Association.
