RNDC’s Expansion Drive Continues With Acquisition Of Alaska’s White Mountain Beverage
January 7, 2022Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) has purchased Alaska distributor White Mountain Beverage, forming a new unit combining wine, spirits, and beer distribution under the RNDC Alaska banner.
Along with White Mountain—an independent Anheuser-Busch wholesaler—comes full control of its subsidiary K&L, which had a partnership with the former Young’s Market Co. (now RNDC West, a joint venture with the Underwood family) to distribute wine and spirits across multiple markets.
In addition to Alaska, K&L operates in five western control states: Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. Former White Mountain and K&L employees will begin to transition to their roles within RNDC this month. RNDC of Alaska had estimated 2021 revenues of $60 million, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.—Shane English
