Diageo Leaving DISCUS At Year-End

In case you missed last night’s news alert, Diageo will end its membership in the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. (DISCUS) at the end of the year, the company confirmed to SND. “At this time, we have chosen to focus our resources on key strategic priorities which we would like to pursue, but we will remain an active and committed player in the industry,” Diageo said in a statement, adding that it will continue to work with DISCUS and its member companies “on issues of mutual interest.” Here’s the full story.
