March 29, 2023•Heaven Hill and the PGA of America have announced a new partnership, with Elijah Craig named the official Bourbon of PGA of America, the PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and an official partner of the PGA National Club Championship. Elijah Craig will be featured across social and digital channels associated with the PGA of America.
•Monterey, California’s Scheid Family Wines has released Fog & Light Vintage Reserve Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the first nationally launched wine from Scheid to come from Paso Robles and is made by Dave Nagengast, a vintner with Scheid for over 20 years. The current release is from the 2020 vintage and is at 14.5% abv. Fog & Light is rolling out now to select retailers across the U.S. for a suggested price of $39 a bottle.
•Indian spirits producer Radico Khaitan has expanded its portfolio of whiskies, announcing the launch of Sangam World Malt Whisky in the U.S. Sangam blends Indian single malts distilled at the Rampur distillery with select malt whiskies from Europe and “the new world” before bottling at 43% abv. The final blend was put together by master blender Anup Barik. Sangam will roll out across the U.S. in May for between $65 and $70 a 700-ml. bottle.
•William Grant & Sons has announced Glenfiddich Grand Yozakura, the latest single malt in the brand’s Grand Series. The 45.1% abv whisky is 29 years old and finished in Japanese Awamori barrels—Japan’s oldest spirit made from distilled Indica rice—before bottling. The whisky will be available in extremely limited quantities in retailers across the U.S. for a suggested price of $1,999. Beyond its limited distribution, buyers can enter for a chance to purchase a bottle of the whisky through Glenfiddich’s website.
