March 31, 2023•Brown-Forman and Coca-Cola have officially launched Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola canned cocktails. The 7% abv cocktail is made with its namesake ingredients and comes in 4-packs of 12-ounce cans, which carry a suggested price of $13. The cans will display responsibility warnings to indicate that the product contains alcohol. Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola is now available at retailers across the U.S., with a variant made using Coca-Cola Zero Sugar launching in May.
•Symington Family Estates has released Graham’s 1997 Single Harvest Tawny Port in the U.S. The 20% abv fortified wine, dubbed “the Apprentice” in tribute to head winemaker Charles Symington’s first steps as a blender and taster, is made from grapes harvested in September and October 1997 and bottled in 2022. The wine was one of the first that Charles had a substantial role in creating. Graham’s 1997 Single Harvest Tawny Port is rolling out in the U.S. for a suggested price of $165 a 750-ml.
•Zonin1821 is set to release Zonin Coastal Lemon Spritz across the U.S. on April 1. The spritz blends Zonin’s sparkling wine with lemon flavoring in a move inspired by the Italian aperitif Limoncello. The bottled spritz will be available in both 200-ml. and 750-ml. bottles, with suggested retail prices of $6 and $18, respectively. The release joins Zonin’s Prosecco and Prosecco Rosé in the brand’s sparkling portfolio.
•Los Angeles, California-based Calirosa Tequila is launching a Reposado expression. Calirosa Reposado is made from 100% blue agave and aged nine months in red wine barrels. It joins Rosa Blanco, aged one month; Añejo, aged for 18 months; Extra Añejo, aged for 3 years; and limited edition Cinco Años Extra Añejo, aged for 5 years, all of which are bottled at 40% abv. Calirosa Reposado is available now across the U.S. for $60 a 750-ml. The brand was cofounded by Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo along with Mexico’s Real family.
•Southern Glazer’s has named Cassie Finely as vice president, national retail sales, strategic accounts. In her new role Finely will identify macro- and shopper-level trends and work with retailers to boost growth. Finely brings more than two decades of experience, starting at Walmart in 2002 and spending 15 years there before moving to Whole Foods and Kroger. At SGWS, Finely reports to Scott Moore, senior vice president, national accounts, off premise.
