Patrón Unveils Ahumado “Smoky” Tequilas

Luxury Tequila leader Patrón is introducing limited-edition Ahumado expressions, smoky Tequilas aimed at agave spirits consumers. Patrón Ahumado is debuting in Silver (41% abv) and Reposado (40% abv) offerings retailing at $70 and $80 a bottle respectively.

According to the company, the new entries are made from agave piñas roasted in small batches with mesquite charcoal for seven days in underground stone pits at Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, Mexico, and then crushed through a 100% tahona wheel distillation process. They’re rolling out in select markets, intended to be served neat or in cocktails.
