April 3, 2023•Breakthru Beverage Group has appointed Scott Hersh as executive vice president of Breakthru Beverage Nevada. Hersh will lead all aspects of Breakthru’s business performance in the state, including sales, operations, and distribution. He previously served as vice president of sales, on-premise in Florida, a role that will serve him well in the on-premise-heavy Nevada market, according to the company.
•Molson Coors is adding to its spirits lineup with Barmen 1873 Bourbon. The 92 proof newcomer is bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky and retails at $40-$43 a bottle. It’s debuting across 13 states starting today. Barmen 1873 joins Five Trail Blended American Whiskey in the Coors Whiskey Co. range. Five Trail is distributed in limited yearly batches and retails for $60.
•Sherry brand Harveys will release its first new expression in almost 100 years. Following a successful launch in Canada and the U.K., Harveys will bring its new Medium Dry Sherry to the U.S. It’s made from a blend of different Amontillado Sherries aged in Criaderas and Soleras for four years on American oak. Retailing for $20 a 750-ml., Harveys Medium Dry will launch in select markets this spring and nationwide in the fall. Harveys is imported to the U.S. by González Byass USA.
