•Argentinian wine brand Bodega Trivento, part of the Vina Concha y Toro portfolio, is launching Trivento White Malbec in the U.S. Trivento bills its White Malbec as the world’s first of its kind. Following four years of growth and refinement in its domestic market, Trivento is bringing the product to the U.S. It’s made from estate grown fruit from the Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo and is available in New York, Florida, and Georgia for a suggested $11 a bottle. Trivento grew 13% to 123,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits has appointed Christopher McFerran as senior vice president, strategic accounts. In his new role, McFerran will be responsible for sales management and business development of the Deutsch Family portfolio within off-premise strategic and national chain accounts. McFerran comes with more than 20 years of experience in beverage alcohol, most recently with Concha y Toro where he served as SVP of sales. At Deutsch Family he reports to executive vice president of sales Kelly Soendker.

•BlockBar, the asset-backed NFT spirits marketplace, has named Jamie Ritchie as COO. Ritchie joins BlockBar from Sotheby’s, where he has over three decades of experience, most recently serving as the auction house’s worldwide chairman of wine and spirits. To BlockBar, Ritchie brings his experience in clientele building, high-end auctioneering, and history of spurring financial growth to the digital-first auction platform. During his tenure, Sotheby’s wine and spirits auction revenues rose to $132 million.

•Bardstown Bourbon Company is releasing the latest in its Collaborative Series. This installment is made in collaboration with Foursquare Rum, of Barbados. It’s a blend of 7-year-old rye and 17-year-old Bourbon, finished in Foursquare rum barrels for 23 months. Roughly 3,000 9-liter cases of the finished Bourbon will be available, bottled at 53.5% and retailing for $160 a 750-ml., available in 24 states and online beginning April 21.
