•Speyside-based Scotch whisky distillery Benriach, part of the Brown-Forman portfolio, is introducing peated single malt Benriach The Forty to its U.S. range. The Forty was previously available last fall as part of a luxury bespoke NFT on Blockbar, but this marks the first time consumers will be able to purchase physical bottles in stores. The 43.5% abv offering was matured in Bourbon and Port casks and will retail at $4,500 a bottle, available as a limited release to specialty retailers in select U.S. markets.

•Heaven’s Door Spirits, a collaboration between Bob Dylan and Spirits Investment Partners, has announced Decade Series II, a limted-edition 10-year-old rye whiskey. The 50% abv rye is made from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and follows the previous 10-year-old Bourbon in the Decade Series. The whiskey carries a suggested price of $100 a 750-ml. and is available through the brand’s website and at select retailers across the U.S.

•Redemption Whiskey, part of the Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits portfolio, has named Alan Kennedy as master blender. Kennedy will be responsible for the brand’s flagship, specialty, Single Barrel Select, and barrel strength releases. Additionally, he will develop new limited edition whiskies for the brand. He joins Redemption after serving as master blender for Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company’s Town Branch Whiskey. In his new role, Kennedy is taking over for departing master blender Dave Carpenter. Redemption had U.S. volume of 115,000 cases last year, according to Impact Databank.
