Gallo Acquires Central Coast’s Hahn Family Wines
June 21, 2023In case you missed yesterday’s news alert, E.&J. Gallo has acquired the brand portfolio of California Central Coast player Hahn Family Wines for an undisclosed sum. According to Impact Databank, the Hahn Founders tier accounts for about 300,000 cases in the U.S., or roughly two-thirds of the company’s total volume, while the Smith & Hook label has volume of approximately 100,000 cases. Gallo says the move—which also includes the Hahn SLH brand, but not the Hahn family’s vineyard assets—complements its existing Central Coast portfolio. Here’s the full story.
