•Old Pulteney single malt Scotch whisky is launching a new Coastal Series in the U.S. The first in the limited series is an expression created with Pineau des Charentes casks from the Charente-Maritime region in France. Old Pulteney Pineau des Charentes will retail for $80 and be available later this summer in markets across the U.S., with three other Coastal Series whiskies to follow. Old Pulteney is imported by Hotaling & Co. in the U.S.

•Ole Smoky is debuting Orange Shinesicle Cream Moonshine and Banana Whiskey. After a successful launch in Ole Smoky’s distilleries, these products are now available for a limited time in select retailers across the U.S. Ole Smoky’s range totals 25 moonshine flavors and 17 whiskey flavors distributed in all 50 states and also sold at the company’s four distilleries. An Impact “Hot Brand,” Ole Smoky was up 22% to 1.2 million cases in the U.S. last year.

•Belvedere vodka, part of the Moet Hennessy portfolio, is now certified organic, and has rolled out a new upgraded bottle design and label to reflect the change. Additionally, Belvedere has also unveiled new ad imagery starring Daniel Craig (shot by Jeurgen Teller) to celebrate the launch. The brand, which has U.S. volume of about 430,000 cases, according to Impact Databank, ranks third among all vodkas by volume in the above-$25 a 750-ml. segment. It has now transitioned to being crafted with 100% organic diamond rye, in the same process of its non-organic predecessor using purified water.

•Sonoma County-based Rodney Strong Wine Estates—which includes Rodney Strong Vineyards, Davis Bynum Wines, and Rowen Wine Company—has acquired River West Vineyard for an undisclosed sum. The premium quality vineyard totals 335 acres in the Russian River Valley appellation of California. River West Vineyard has served as a single-vineyard source of Chardonnay for several Rodney Strong Vineyards and Davis Bynum Wines since the late 1970s. The acquisition brings Rodney Strong Wine Estates’ total Sonoma County estate vineyard holdings to 1,158 acres.

•Terlato Wine Group has named Kimberly Bothwell to the role of director, DTC & Hospitality. In her new role, Bothwell will lead all TWG’s DTC programs and will manage the regional hospitality teams and wine club teams. In addition, she will be responsible for developing new business and event opportunities for Chimney Rock Winery, Rutherford Hill Winery, Sanford Vineyards & Winery, and Klipsun Vineyards. She was most recently vice president, sales and marketing at Napa’s Shadybrook Estate Winery.
