Concha y Toro’s Bonterra Organic Estates Announces New Leadership
July 19, 2023California winemaker Bonterra Organic Estates has announced a new leadership structure, with longtime CEO Giancarlo Bianchetti set to return back to parent company Viña Concha y Toro in Chile. Bonterra Organic Estates had U.S. volume of 3.2 million cases last year, according to Impact Databank, with brands including Bonterra, Casillero del Diablo, Fetzer, Trivento, 1000 Stories, Cono Sur, and others.
The company is appointing four presidents, each leading an independent division and reporting directly to the Bonterra Organic Estates board in Chile. Leading the commercial unit will be Allison Wetsel as president, sales and wholesale. Rodrigo Maturana will become president, marketing. Both were previously senior vice presidents at the company.
Erik Olsen, previously COO, will oversee vineyard, winemaking, and winery operations as well as production and supply chain as president, operations. And former senior vice president Emmanuel Garibay becomes president, finance and administration.
