RNDC Promotes Lane, Engel, Sommers To New Roles

July 19, 2023

Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) has promoted three senior executives to new roles leading its sales and commercial teams. The company says the move is aimed at boosting three key areas of the business: supplier growth, customer growth, and sales execution. RNDC is the second-largest wholesaler of spirits and wine nationally with projected 2023 revenues of $12.5 billion.

Among the changes, Dave Lane has been promoted to chief supplier and growth officer. The veteran drinks executive, formerly of Gallo and Terlato, has been with RNDC for four years and was most recently executive vice president, commercial strategy and integration.

Jenn Engel, previously chief commercial officer, will now add to her responsibilities, becoming chief customer and commercial officer. Prior to joining RNDC four years ago she held key roles with Anheuser-Busch, Santa Margherita, and Jackson Family Wines.

Additionally, Taylor Sommer, previously central region president, is becoming chief sales and execution officer. A 21-year RNDC veteran, Sommer started his career in the drinks business with E.&J. Gallo. Lane, Engel, and Sommer will report directly to RNDC COO Bob Hendrickson.—Daniel Marsteller
