August 30, 2023•Moet Hennessy is debuting a special edition sparkler from its Chandon winery in California, Chandon 50th Anniversary Cuvée Winemaker’s Blend. Retailing at $75, the anniversary bottling is a collaboration between the only four winemakers to helm Chandon—Dawnine Dyer, Wayne Donaldson, Tom Tiburzi, and Pauline Lhote—who came together to create the blend. Moet Hennessy will also unveil a reimagined home for the Chandon brand in Napa Valley this fall.
•Milestone Brands has signed a three year agreement with the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, bringing Empress 1908 gin and Dulce Vida Tequila to the Golden 1 Center as the official gin and Tequila partners of the team. The spirits will now be sold during Kings home games and other Golden 1 Center events, including in Light the Beam, a new Empress 1908 cocktail made with the gin and lemonade. In addition to its presence in the arena, Milestone will also promote the brands through local retail activations.
•Lèo de Verzay Champagne has launched in the U.S. with two releases: Reign Brut and Reine Rosé. The brand is making its U.S. debut through a partnership between LDV LLC and reality TV star Scott Disick. Reign Brut is made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier; and the brand’s rosé is made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The wines are available through DTC channels and, via RNDC, in select locations in Miami and Los Angeles. Reign Brut retails for a suggested price of $150 a 750-ml. and Reine for $180.
