•Blanco, Texas’ Milam & Greene Whiskey has announced its latest limited release, Unabridged Volume 2: A Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskies. The whiskey kicks off the distillery’s Autumn 2023 Blender’s Reserve Collection, which will include other rare whiskies from Milam & Greene over the coming months. The whiskey is bottled at 58.8% abv and is blended from 11 casks of 16-year-old, 18 casks of 7-year-old, five casks of 4-year-old, nine casks of 3-year-old, 11 casks of 2-year-old, and two casks of (different) 2-year-old whiskies to create 800 cases of Unabridged Volume 2. The whiskies were sourced from Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas. The whiskey is now available in limited quantities for $95.

•Memphis Tennessee-based Morningside Brands announced the second release for Alma del Jaguar Tequila. Following the brand’s inaugural Blanco expression, the new extension is a Reposado, made with 100% Blue Agave and aged first for two months in American white oak Bourbon barrels followed by another month in toasted French oak wine casks. The brand was developed with a mission to protect wild jaguars and as part of that goal the company recently donated $15,000 worth of trail cameras and other gear to the staff of the Northern Jaguar Project, a joint U.S.-Mexico effort to preserve Jaguar populations and their habitat. Alma del Jaguar Reposado is available now in select markets for $60 a 750-ml.
