William Grant Buys Upscale Gin Player Silent Pool

William Grant & Sons has acquired the U.K.’s Silent Pool Distillers for an undisclosed sum. Silent Pool is known for its ultra-premium gin, which has carved out a sizeable presence in the U.K. market. Production will remain at Silent Pool’s Surrey Hills distillery, while William Grant & Sons will act as Silent Pool Gin’s global supply chain and distribution partner, expanding the brand’s presence across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. Silent Pool’s annual capacity is in excess of 200,000 9-liter cases.—Daniel Marsteller
