•Gran Coramino Tequila, part of the Proximo portfolio, has partnered with the Philadelphia Eagles, bringing the brand to Lincoln Financial Field as the Official Luxury Tequila of the NFL franchise. Created by actor and comedian Kevin Hart and Cuervo CEO Juan Domingo Beckmann, Gran Coramino will be served at a dedicated bar, and ads for the Tequila will be featured throughout the stadium. The multi-year partnership will also host a sweepstakes later this year where fans can win season tickets as well as Tequila tasting opportunities with Eagles alums. In 2022, Gran Coramino moved 50,000 cases in a partial year on the market, according to Impact Databank, with Beckmann telling SND earlier this year that growth has continued in 2023.

•Yesterday, SND reported Illva Saronno’s move to acquire Baltimore craft distiller Sagamore Spirit for an undisclosed sum. Now, Sagamore—which had whiskey volume of 35,000 cases last year, excluding canned cocktails—has announced the launch of a new amaro, made with the same 95% rye distillate used in Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey. Sagamore Spirit Amaro is now available on- and off-premise in California, Illinois, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington D.C., retailing at $30 a 750-ml. bottle.

•Louisville, Kentucky’s Copper & Kings, part of the Constellation stable, has announced its first Bourbon, set to hit shelves in October. The whiskey is a blend of 5-, 10-, and 15-year-old Bourbons that finished in Copper & Kings apple brandy barrels for a year before bottling at 55.5% abv. The new release will be available at the Copper & Kings distillery as well as in select retailers across Kentucky for a suggested price of $65. Copper & Kings was fully acquired by Constellation Brands in September 2020, after an initial investment in 2018.

•Kentucky Coffee, part of the Atomic Brands portfolio, is expanding into the ready-to-drink category with new Hard Cold Brews, a mixed cocktail made with whiskey and cold brew. Launching nationwide this fall, Kentucky Coffee will offer Hard Cold Brews in 12-ounce cans at 5.9% abv in three flavors: Black, Vanilla, and Mocha. The Atomic Brands portfolio also includes 2.6-million-case Monaco Cocktails, as well as new entry Ollitas Tequila.

•Retail chain Aldi has launched a new wine collection under its ‘Specially Selected’ label. Available now, the collection includes year-round offerings Uco Valley Malbec ($8), Alto Adige Pinot Grigio ($10), Côtes de Provence Rosé ($10), Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc ($10), and Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($15). Seasonal selections include Rioja Reserva ($9), Barossa Valley Shiraz ($10), DOCG Prosecco ($11), Sparkling Brut Rosé ($11), and Icewine ($15). New Specially Selected wines will launch each season.

•Coors Spirits Co.’s Blue Run has launched Reflection II, the latest Bourbon from the high-end whiskey brand. Reflection II is a 50% abv Bourbon blended from older whiskies in Blue Run’s 5,000-barrel stock. It also includes a portion of the original Reflection release, but the bulk of the whiskies in II were made with less rye than the original bottling. Blue Run Reflection II carries a suggested price of $100 and is now available in retailers across the U.S. and through the brand’s website.
