Southern Glazer’s Opens Direct Warehouse Sales In Manhattan
October 9, 2023Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has opened SGWS NYC Direct Warehouse Sales and Office, a new facility located in midtown Manhattan. The nearly 4,500 square foot center features a fine wine room, a mixology lounge, and the distributor’s first metro-New York area direct warehouse sales center.
The warehouse holds 800 SKUs and anyone with a valid New York liquor license can shop the selection. In addition, the fine wine room holds nearly 200 SKUs ranging from everyday brands to luxury wines. The facility also features a business center—where the mixology lab is located—for welcoming guests, hosting meetings, and holding mixology trainings. The NYC DWS is set to open this month.
New York state is the fourth-largest market for Southern Glazer’s nationwide, with 2023 revenues projected at $2.5 billion, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter. The distributor is the market leader in the state, handling brands from Bacardi, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Beam Suntory, Campari, and Rémy Cointreau, among many others.—Shane English
