•Texas-based Balcones Distilling, part of the Diageo portfolio, is introducing Cataleja Texas Single Malt. Aged for three years in barrels previously used to age Kentucky Bourbon, it was then transferred to Sherry Solera casks including Moscatel, Amontillado Dulce, Oloroso, and Palo Cortado. The new offering retails at $125 and is a limited time offering, debuting next month in Texas, California, Illinois, Colorado, New York, and Florida.

•Breakthru Beverage Group has named Liz Phillips as vice president, commercial excellence, and Chrissy Wallace as vice president, supplier business development. Phillips joins from Sysco, where she spent the past 18 years in a variety of commercial roles, most recently as senior director, sales planning and readiness. At BBG she will be will be responsible for sales strategy development and execution. Wallace was previously senior brand and integration director for the Tequila portfolio at Brown Forman, accounting for $200 million in revenue. In her new role she will look to “build further momentum around suppliers’ visions, portfolios and brand strategies,” according to the company.

•Kentucky’s Bardstown Bourbon Company has opened its new tasting room on Louisville’s Whiskey Row. The facility features a full bar as well as three tasting experiences, priced between $25 and $35 per person and lasting around 40 minutes. The tastings—the Collaborative Experience, the Origin Experience, and the Art of Blending Experience—cover a range of Bardstown’s whiskies, including their own distillation and their collaborative projects, among others. In addition to the bar and tastings, the Louisville tasting room will have a full retail shop dedicated to Bardstown’s portfolio.

•Salem, New Hampshire-based Fabrizia Spirits has partnered with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits to enter new markets, bringing the Limoncello producer to 22 states across the U.S. The expansion brings the company into Florida, California, Nevada, and Illinois, including in chains like Binny’s, Whole Foods, and Total Wine. The move follows a period of growth for Fabrizia, with the company reporting 21% annual compound growth since 2018. In addition to expanding into new states, the company has recently secured placement for its RTDs in 85 Whole Foods Markets across the U.S.
