November 1, 2023•Nashville, Indiana’s Hard Truth Distilling Co. has announced the Barrel Finish Reserve series, a line of four new rye whiskies. The quartet is line priced at $100 a 750-ml. and all four new releases start as Hard Truth’s sweet mash rye whiskey. The barrels used for finishing the whiskies are Pedro Ximénez Sherry, Pedro Ximénez Brandy, Sauternes, and Cognac respectively. The Barrel Finish Reserve series is limited and is available while supplies last throughout the distillery’s 22 market distribution footprint.
•Influencer Krista Horton is launching Horton Ready-to-Drink Cocktails. Made with rum from Florida Caribbean Distillers, the lineup includes Diet Kola, Pineapple Soda, and Lime Soda, all at 7% abv with 6-7 grams of sugar and 150 calories a 12-ounce can. Horton Rum will be exclusively available as a 12-can Party Pack for $45 at select retailers and online. Based in Bakersfield, California, Horton has 2 million followers on Instagram.
•San Diego’s Boochcraft Organic Hard Kombucha has released Sparkling Apple, the latest seasonal release from the company. The 7% abv kombucha is made with red apples, dried hibiscus, Eureka lemons, ginger, and cinnamon, and only contains 7 grams of sugar per serving. According to the company, the new release was inspired by hard cider but was created to offer a lower sugar alternative to many hard ciders. Boochcraft’s Sparkling Apple is available through the holiday season in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans.
