•New releases from Frey Ranch, Widow Jane, Hard Truth, and more are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s weekly roundup. The magazine’s website has all the details.

•Lexington, Kentucky-based James E. Pepper Distillery has announced a new barrel proof Bourbon, bottled in a recreated vintage decanter. The first batch of the 5-year-old Bourbon is made from a mash of corn, rye, malted barley, and malted rye, and averages 52.5% abv. The whiskey carries a suggested price of $65 a bottle and is available in 27 markets across the U.S.

•Denver, Colorado’s Laws Whiskey House has launched the third edition of the distiller’s Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey Finished in a Cognac Foeder. This year’s blend contains whiskies aged between four and eight years and is bottled at 47.5% abv. This year’s release pulls 400 gallons or 2,418 bottles from the foeder, with each bottle carrying a suggested price of $80 a bottle. The whiskey is now available in select markets across the U.S.
