Mionetto Preps Non-Alcoholic Sparkler Launch

December 13, 2023

Freixenet Mionetto USA’s flagship Prosecco, Mionetto, is entering the non-alcoholic wine market with a new alcohol-removed sparkler. Mionetto Alcohol-Removed Sparkling Wine contains less than 0.05% abv and contains only 75 calories per bottle. Mionetto Alcohol-Removed Sparkling Wine will launch nationally in early 2024 and carry a suggested price of $15 per bottle.

At 1 million cases in 2022, according to Impact Databank, Mionetto is the second-largest sparkling wine brand by volume in the U.S. above $15 a bottle, after Gallo’s La Marca. This year the brand is up nearly 20% in Circana/IRI channels in the year-to-date through October 8. The move to add a non-alcoholic sparkler comes amid fast-rising interest in the NA category among consumers.—Shane English
