January 19, 2024•Angel’s Envy, a Bacardi brand, has announced the Cellar Collection Series Volumes 1-3, a new set bringing together a selection of the brand’s fortified wine-finished whiskies. The trio of Bourbons—finished in Oloroso Sherry (50% abv), Tawny Port (55.8%), and Madeira (50%) casks—carry a suggested price of $400 and will receive limited distribution as well as sell at the Angel’s Envy distillery. Only 8,000 sets of 375-ml. bottles will be released, starting February 1. In 2022, Angel’s Envy was approaching 300,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank, with sales in control states through November 2023 up 6.8%.
•Arizona-based Hensley Beverage Company, a distributor in Arizona and New Mexico, has appointed Andy McCain, currently president and COO, to president and CEO, effective immediately. Additionally, Omar Perez, Hensley’s CFO, will be assuming the additional responsibility of COO, reporting directly to McCain. The Anheuser-Busch InBev wholesaler also distributes craft beers, premium non-alcohol beverages, water, soda, tea, wine, and spirits. The company serves 11,000 retail accounts throughout Arizona and New Mexico.
