•Diageo is expanding Captain Morgan with new flavored malt beverages, launching Captain Morgan Sliced with a variety 12-pack. The offshoot is launching with four flavors—Pineapple Daiquiri, Strawberry Margarita, Passionfruit Hurricane, and Mango Mai Tai—all at 5.8% abv. The pack is rolling out now across the U.S. for a suggested price of $20 and is accompanied by a new marketing campaign called “Sliced is Better.” Impact Databank estimates that Captain Morgan’s core rum was at 5.1 million cases in the U.S. in 2023.

•Teremana Tequila, the brand founded by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and partners, has inked its first partnership with the MLB, teaming up with the Texas Rangers. The deal names Teremana as the official Tequila of the Dallas-Fort Worth-based team and will see the brand featured in the Teremana Terrace within Globe Life Field as well as in the Texas Live! entertainment complex. In addition, Teremana will also be the presenting sponsor for the Rangers’ celebration of Hispanic culture, Viva Tejas. Teremana grew 18% to over 1 million cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

Correction: In yesterday’s story on Gallo importing Italy’s Cantina Girlan, it was incorrectly stated that Girlan is comprised of 200 “winemakers.” In fact, it’s 200 “winegrowers.”
