Southern Glazer’s Elevates Mark Chaplin To EVP, Commercial Sales

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has promoted Mark Chaplin, naming him the distributor’s new executive vice president, commercial sales. Chaplin stepped into the new position March 15 and reports to Southern Glazer’s CCO John Wittig. In his new role, Chaplin will work with Southern Glazer’s regional and state general managers and help guide management, while collaborating with suppliers to boost growth, according to the company.

Chaplin was most recently senior vice president, sales & marketing, reporting to Gene Sullivan, chief sales & marketing officer. Prior to joining the distribution giant, he held positions with Gallo Sales Company, Merrill Lynch, Grant Thornton, and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.—Shane English
