Exclusive: Rodney Strong President Carmen Castaldi Retiring After Two-Decade Run

Carmen Castaldi, who has served as president of Sonoma County’s Rodney Strong Wine Estates for nearly two decades, is retiring at the end of the month. Moving forward he will serve as senior advisor to the board.

Concurrently, the company has promoted Anthony ‘AC’ Capobianco to senior vice president of sales & marketing. Capobianco, along with Tobin Ginter, chief financial & operations officer, and Justin Seidenfeld, senior vice president of winemaking & winegrowing, will oversee operations and lead the organization collaboratively.

Rodney Strong Wine Estates includes Rodney Strong Vineyards, Davis Bynum Wines, Knotty Vines, Upshot Wines, and Rowen Wine Company. The group sustainably farms 12 estate vineyards across almost 1,200 acres. Annual production company-wide is approximately 700,000 cases.—Daniel Marsteller
