April 26, 2024•Boston-based Latitude Beverage is debuting a new Añejo extension to the Zarpado Tequila brand. Retailing at $38 a 750-ml., the newcomer is made from 100% mature Blue Agave grown in the Los Valles region of Jalisco. It’s debuting nationally online and will be on retail shelves across 14 states, including Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, and Wisconsin. Zarpado’s Blanco and Reposado expressions retail at $27 and $30 respectively.
•Lux Row, part of Luxco, the branded arm of MGP, has announced Blood Oath Pact 10, marking a decade of the Blood Oath line of whiskies. As always, the whiskey is bottled at 49.3% abv (98.6 proof) with this year’s edition finishing in Cabernet Franc and Merlot barrels. While the specific blend of Bourbons is kept secret, the company says it includes two Bourbons made with rye in the mash bill. Only 51,000 bottles of Pact 10 will be released, with 1,400 held in reserve for future collected releases. Blood Oath Pact 10 is rolling out now across the U.S. for a suggested price of $130.
•WES Brands has named industry veterans Chester Brandes, Jonathan Bonchick, and Johnny Manuel to its advisory board as it looks to expand internationally. The WES Brands portfolio includes Aspen Vodka, BSB Flavored Whiskey, Flecha Azul Tequila, and Fraser & Thompson Whiskey. Across four decades in the industry, Brandes has worked on vodka brands including Sobieski, Finlandia, and Stoli. Bonchick is vice president of Spirits & Wine at Duty-Free Americas, while Manuel formerly served as director of sales for Brown Forman in the U.S. and Canada.
