May 7, 2024•Cannabis beverage brand Mary Jones is launching new hemp-derived Delta-9 (HD9) THC gummies. They’re available in 50mg and 100mg packs, with 10 gummies in each pack. The gummies feature the same taste and cane sugar formulation as Jones Soda, adapted for HD9. The product is available in Mary Jones’s Berry Lemonade, as well as Green Apple, MF Grape, and Orange & Cream. It comes amid increasing interest in HD9 products across the country, along with the continued popularity of edibles. Mary Jones HD9 Gummies are available at brick-and-mortar stores like liquor stores, smoke and tobacco retailers, grocery stores, and online.
•New Jersey’s adult-use cannabis sales grew 5.2% sequentially to $201 million in the first quarter of the year. The total is up by 38% year-on-year, as dispensaries continue to open across the Garden State, now numbering more than 130 locations for adult-use, up from just two dozen a year ago. The 4/20 weekend proved robust for New Jersey dispensaries, which sold $12 million worth of product over the weekend, roughly quadruple the total from a year earlier. The New Jersey cannabis market is expected to crest $1 billion overall this year.
•Canopy Growth’s Canopy USA affiliate has officially exercised its options to acquire the Wana and Jetty brands, bringing the two labels into its portfolio. Wana is a leading gummies and edibles brand that’s vertically integrated in Colorado has a growing licensing division that’s now active across 15 additional U.S. states. Jetty, which is present in California, Colorado, New York and New Jersey, is known for solventless vapes, live resin vapes, and other products.
