May 30, 2024•Delola, the ready-to-serve cocktail range from Jennifer Lopez and handled by Suntory Global Spirits, is introducing a new Light Margarita expression. The 12.5% abv cocktail has 125 calories a serving. It joins Delola’s three existing offerings, Vodka-based Bella Berry Cocktail, Tequila-based Paloma Rosa Cocktail, and Amaro-based L’Orange Spritz. Delola’s Light Margarita is launching nationally in 750-ml. and 375-ml. sizes retailing at $20 and $11 respectively. Delola shipped 107,000 9-liter cases last year in its debut.
•Daftmill Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is launching a 2010 Cask Strength bottling. The 58.7% abv offering retails at $325 a 700-ml. It was produced from 15 first-fill ex-Bourbon casks that yielded 2,400 bottles, which will become available in the U.S. beginning this month through importer Hotaling & Co. Located in Fife on the East Coast of Scotland, Daftmill produces 100 casks per year from 100% single estate barley according to a seasonal schedule—two months in the summer and two months in winter.
•Skyy vodka, part of the Campari America portfolio, is debuting a new global campaign, “Embrace Every Y,” shot by photographer Nadia Lee Cohen and motion directed by Charlie Denis. The creative highlights seven different scenes, each featuring a “Y?” that “aims to inspire those who disrupt conformity by sparking the unexpected,” according to the company. The digital-led campaign is rolling out first across the U.S. and Canada, including 15- and 6-second videos, stills, and GIFs, with other markets to follow. Skyy slipped 9% to 1.68 million cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.
•Barrell Craft Spirits has introduced Barrell Bourbon Batch 036, a blend of straight Bourbon whiskies distilled and aged in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The newcomer includes a selection of 7, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 15-year-old barrels. Rolling out online and across the country at an SRP of $90, Batch 036 features a redesigned bottle label disclosing the states from which the whiskey was sourced, the age of each whiskey used in the blend, the mash bill of the final blend, and a more prominently listed batch number to help identify the bottle on the shelf.
