Breakthru Adds Several New Whiskey And Tequila Brands To Trident Portfolio

Breakthru Beverage has added a host of new whiskey and Tequila brands to the company’s emerging brands group, the Trident Portfolio. Within Tequila, Breakthru has added Alma Del Jaguar in South Carolina; Inspiro Tequila in Florida; Lalo Tequila in Delaware, Missouri, and Nevada; and Quintaliza Tequila in Florida.

The distributor’s whiskey additions include Hillrock Estate’s portfolio in Missouri; Rare Character Whiskey Company in Colorado and Illinois; Shibui Whisky in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, and South Carolina; and Virginia Distillery in Wisconsin.

“There is an enormous opportunity in these emerging categories, particularly Tequila due to its strong performance in the on- and off-premise and penetration with a diverse range of consumers,” noted Jenna Oppe, national director of emerging beverages at Breakthru, which ranks as the third-leading wholesaler nationally with projected 2024 revenues of $8.7 billion, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.—Shane English
