June 4, 2024•Treasury Wine Estates has extended 19 Crimes into the RTD market with Snoop Dogg’s Cali Cocktails. The agave wine-based RTDs are at 9% abv and launch with two flavors, Smokin’ Strawberry Margarita and Long Beach Lemonade, both retailing for $15 a 4-pack of 355-ml. cans. Cali Cocktails are rolling out now to retailers across the U.S.
•Tennessee-based Ole Smoky Distillery has announced that Michael Bender, president of wholesale, is transitioning to an advisory role with Matthew Keith taking Bender’s responsibilities as the company’s new senior vice president of sales. Bender is shifting to an advisory role to prioritize his health after more than three decades in the drinks business. Keith steps into his new role with more than 20 years’ experience. Last year, Ole Smoky’s volume neared 1.3 million cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.
•E-commerce players Bottlecaps and Bevstack have formed a new partnership that they say will result in a wider digital reach for brands across the beverage alcohol industry. The combination will allow brands to direct orders from their websites to a network of 1,300 retailers across 40 states, enabling in-state shipping and same-day delivery. Brands will also be able to leverage order tracking and data analytics to inform marketing strategies. Bevstack brings a three-tier-compliant retail network to the partnership, while Bottlecaps is known for providing brands with white-labeled products like branded mobile apps, e-commerce websites, and in-store digital signage.
