June 28, 2024•Riboli Family Wine Estates is backing its Stella Rosa brand with a new campaign featuring multi-platinum award-winning singer and songwriter Prince Royce. Riboli says the new push extends its outreach to multicultural consumer groups. “Within the total wine category, multicultural consumers account for only 27% of total spending, but they contribute to 68% of spending on Stella Rosa,” the company stated, adding that 66% of Prince Royce’s fan base is Hispanic. Italian import Stella Rosa grew 5% to 4.1 million cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.
•Frankfort, Kentucky’s Buffalo Trace Distillery, part of the Sazerac portfolio, has announced Colonel E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof rye whiskey. The new limited edition release is bottled at 63% abv and carries a suggested price of $78. The whiskey is the 13th release in the E.H. Taylor brand and sits alongside whiskies like E.H. Taylor Bonded, Small Batch, and Single Barrel, among others.
•Renais gin, the spirit from actress and activist Emma Watson and her brother Alex, has launched in the U.S. The 40% abv gin is distilled from grapes and infused with botanicals found near the brand’s home in northern France, including juniper, cubeb berries, acacia honey, linden flower, and lemon peel, among others. The gin carries a suggested price of $65 a bottle and is now available through the brand’s website. This month, Renais will also launch in select retailers in California. Renais is imported by MHW and distributed by RNDC.
