July 16, 2024•Duckhorn’s Decoy Limited is launching a new Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. Retailing at $30, the newcomer includes fruit from Decoy’s 289-acre estate vineyard in the San Miguel District as well as sourced grapes from the Adelaida, Creston, Estrella, and Templeton Gap sub-AVAs. Paso Robles has become the second-largest appellation for luxury Cabernet Sauvignon in Circana channels, making up 21.5% of dollar sales in the 52 weeks through May 12. According to Impact Databank, Decoy Limited jumped 35% to 166,000 cases in the U.S. Market last year.
•Booker’s, part of the Suntory Global Spirits small-batch Bourbon stable, is debuting its second batch of 2024, dubbed the Beam House Batch. Named after the family home of Fred Noe, great-grandson of Jim Beam, the 7-year-old Bourbon is bottled at 124.6 proof. Booker’s Beam House Batch is now available nationwide in limited quantities with a suggested retail price of $100 for a 750 ml. bottle.
•Bacan Guaro, a new aguardiente imported by Royal Wine Corp. is launching in the U.S. this summer. The brand will be available in two strengths—Bacan 24 at 24% abv and Bacan 29 at 29% abv—with both variants retailing for $50 a 700-ml. bottle. Bacan Guaro is distilled from sugar cane and infused with star anise before proofing down to bottling strength. The Colombian spirit will initially be available in Florida, New York, and New Jersey in both individual 700-ml. bottles and a two-pack gift set of 200-ml. bottles containing both varieties ($55).
