Beyonce and Moët Hennessy’s SirDavis Hits Retail Shelves

September 4, 2024

SirDavis, the new whisky from Beyonce and Moët Hennessy, has hit retail shelves across the U.S., including in chains like Total Wine and GoPuff/BevMo. The whisky, announced last month as a unique blend of 51% rye and 49% malted barley distilled at MGP, carries a suggested price of $89 and is a collaboration between the superstar and Moët Hennessy master distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden.

While SirDavis’ launch focused on DTC pre-orders, the retail push is taking aim at some of the industry’s leading chains and largest markets. The initial retail push covers California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington D.C. According to the brand, SirDavis is slated for further expansion in the coming months. For chains, SirDavis will be available in the two retail giants mentioned above, as well as Spec’s, Binny’s, and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, among others. “It’s been an honor to collaborate with our founder and Moët Hennessy to bring this whisky to life. The overwhelmingly positive response during our launch and preorder period has only heightened our excitement as we finally share SirDavis with the world,” said Janki Lalani Gandhi, managing director of Beyonce’s Parkwood Ventures. “We’re confident that SirDavis will be a resounding success, not only because the luxury whisky category is ripe for innovation, but also due to the profound personal connection our founder has with both the whisky and the brand.”

The brand is also launching globally, in travel retail and elsewhere. “We’re pleased that new and established whisky drinkers across the globe can now enjoy SirDavis,” said Jonas Tahlin, president of spirits brands at Moët Hennessy. “Whether discovering it while shopping online, duty-free at some of the largest airports in the world, or exclusive retail destinations, SirDavis is inviting a new generation of consumers to feel welcome to participate in the world of luxury whisky.”—Shane English
