September 11, 2024•Bruichladdich single malt Scotch whisky, part of the Rémy Cointreau portfolio, has launched its latest Octomore series, Octomore 15. The super-heavily peated Octomore 15 includes a trio of bottlings each matured for five years in different barrels and casks: 15.1, aged in Bourbon barrels and bottled at 59.1% abv; 15.2, finished in Cognac casks and bottled at 57.9% abv; and 15.3, matured in a combination of first fill Bourbon casks and first fill Oloroso hogsheads from Ferando de Castilla, Jerez, and bottled at 61.3% abv. The new Octomore range is rolling out now.
•DioniLife, a new company led by veterans of Stoli and Diageo, has acquired non-alcoholic beer brand Mash Gang and is launching in the U.S. DioniLife founder and CEO Damian McKinney previously was CEO at Stoli Group and he’s gathered other industry leaders like Steve Wilson, formerly Diageo’s head of global innovation. Mash Gang, the first acquisition by the company, is a U.K.-based brand that was founded in 2020. Mash Gang’s U.S. launch includes Strange Latitudes 0.5% Daiquiri IPA, now available through the brand’s website.
•Columbus, Kentucky’s O.H. Ingram River Aged whiskey has launched its 2024 Flagship Bourbon, the company’s signature limited release whiskey. This year’s Bourbon is blended from six barrels aged for six years before bottling at 58.85% abv. The whiskey is debuting now and will be available in limited quantities in Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. O.H. Ingram intends to expand into new markets through R.S. Lipman as more aged whiskey becomes available.
•Bogle Family Wine Collection has appointed Andrea Smalling as vice president of marketing. Smalling joins Bogle from WineDirect, a direct-to-consumer software and fulfillment company, where she led the marketing team. Her career also includes time with Gallo, Foley, Constellation, and the Mark Anthony Group. In her new role, Smalling will lead marketing for Bogle’s five wine brands: Bogle Family Vineyards, Juggernaut Wines, Phantom, Twenty Acres by Bogle, and Elemental Wines. She replaces Paul Englert, who accepted an executive role with Oregon-based SakeOne this summer. Bogle Family Wine Collection has annual U.S. volume of approximately 2.7 million cases, according to Impact Databank.
•California’s Sonoma Craft has launched Sun & Shine, a new line of canned cocktails. The new line comes in three varieties—Valencia Orange Mimosa, Pineapple Mimosa, and Hibiscus Spritz—all in 12-ounce cans at 10% abv. The trio are now available in 4-packs for a suggested price of $16 in select retailers in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona.
