•Proximo Spirits has released a limited edition bottle of 1800 Tequila, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Miami Dolphins’ historic 27 home game winning streak that ended in 1974. The LTO sports an aqua and marine blue label with the team’s logo, with 1800’s standard Blanco Tequila in the bottle. The release is now available in select retailers in Miami and the surrounding area for a suggested price of $30 a bottle. 1800 grew 4.5% to 2.1 million cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Cincoro Tequila, led by Michael Jordan and partners, has announced a new Añejo Cristalino expression, rolling out now across the U.S. The 40% abv Tequila is matured for 20 months in Tennessee whiskey barrels before filtration and bottling. The clear spirit will be available in retailers across the U.S. in mid-September with the Añejo Cristalino expression carrying a suggested price of $150. Last year, Cincoro was around 45,000 cases in the U.S., according to an estimate from Impact Databank.

•Insólito Tequila has hired Shawn Thurman as the company’s new chief growth officer. Thurman joins Insólito from WES Brands, where he served as CEO. Prior to his stint with WES, Thurman was a 40-year veteran of Southern Glazer’s, ultimately becoming executive vice president of national accounts. In his new role, Thurman will join Insolito’s leadership team, reporting to CEO Pete Kelly. Insólito’s portfolio covers Blanco ($40), Reposado ($50), Añejo ($60), and Extra Añejo ($150) expressions, all at 40% abv. The brand is available in 30 markets across the U.S.

•Sonoma-based 3 Badge Beverage Corp. has launched new packaging for Uncle Val’s Handcrafted Gin, giving the small-batch spirit a more modern look, according to the company. The new design features a new clear bottle made from a proprietary mold, while keeping the original design’s tapered shoulders and historically inspired labels. The recipes for the four gins in the Uncle Val’s portfolio are unchanged and the brand remains line-priced at $39. The brand’s Botanical gin will be the first to receive the packaging update.
