September 30, 2024•Texas-based Zamora Co. USA is officially rolling out the new Volteo Tequila brand in collaboration with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The luxury, additive-free label is distilled and bottled at Destileria Casa de Piedra in Jalisco, Mexico. Volteo’s lineup includes Blanco ($70), Reposado ($90) and Cristalino ($100) expressions. Prescott is a founding investor in the brand, which will donate a portion of proceeds to benefit the NFL star’s Faith Fight Finish Foundation. Volteo joins Licor 43, Lolea Spritz, Martin Miller’s Gin, and Ramón Bilbao wines, among others in the Zamora Co. USA portfolio.
•California’s WX Brands is introducing The Icon Rock Wine Collection, a new range intending to highlight global terroirs. There are three levels within the collection: Everyday Wines ($15) including Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, Argentina, along with Sauvignon Blanc from the Aconcagua Valley in Chile; Signature Wines ($20) including Chardonnay and Cabernet from the Uco Valley in Mendoza and a Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand; and a Single Vineyard tier including Uco Valley Chardonnay ($30) and Cabernet ($35). The Icon Rock portfolio will also include Northern Hemisphere wines looking forward.
•Louisville, Kentucky’s Barrell Craft Spirits has released the latest addition to the company’s Cask Finish Series, Ice Wine. The new whiskey blends Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Wyoming Bourbons ranging from five to 15-years-old before finishing the blend in ice wine barrels. The Bourbon is bottled at cask strength of 53.26% abv. Barrell Bourbon Cask Finish Series: Ice Wine is now available in limited quantities throughout the company’s 49-state distribution footprint for a suggested price of $90 a 750-ml.
•Oatrageous, a new line of oatmilk-based cream liqueurs, has launched in retailers in Florida, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Texas. The brand is launching with three varieties—Bourbon Cream, Coconut, and Espresso—all at 14% abv, with the Bourbon Cream made using whiskies sourced from MGP Ingredients. The trio is dairy- and gluten-free, and contain 100 calories per 1.5-ounce serving. Oatrageous is rolling out now to retailers and is also available to order through the brand’s website.
