Constellation Names New Chief Growth Officer

Constellation Brands has appointed E. Yuri Hermida as executive vice president, chief growth and strategy officer. Hermida succeeds Mallika Monteiro, who recently assumed the post of executive vice president and managing director for the company’s beer portfolio.

Hermida was most recently president of Sovos Brands, and prior to that spent four years at Reckitt in Europe and North America. In his new role he’ll lead Constellation’s Consumer Insights & Innovation, Digital, Transformation, Media, New Business Ventures, and Strategy & Analytics functions, reporting to CEO Bill Newlands.

Last week, Constellation posted sales up 3% to $2.9 billion for its fiscal second quarter ended in August, propelled by a 6% increase for its beer unit, partially offset by continued challenges in its wine and spirits division.—Daniel Marsteller
