Coca-Cola Names Diageo Veteran Costa To Lead Global RTD Portfolio

The Coca-Cola Company has appointed Paula Costa as president, emerging category, with responsibility for leading the company’s global ready-to-drink alcohol business. Costa succeeds Khalil Younes in the role effective January 1.

She joins Coca-Cola from Switzerland-based bottler Coca-Cola HBC, where she served as group director, premium spirits, leading distribution partnerships with spirits players including Brown-Forman, Edrington, and Bacardi. Prior to that she spent three years at Diageo, where she was vice president of marketing for Paraguay, Uruguay, and Brazil.

Coca-Cola has RTD partnerships in place with Bacardi (Rum & Coke), Brown-Forman (Jack & Coke), Pernod (Absolut & Sprite), Constellation (Fresca Mixed), and Molson Coors (Topo Chico, Simply Spiked, Peace Hard Tea), with its global RTD portfolio approaching sales of $1 billion in recent years.—Daniel Marsteller
