Welsh single malt whisky maker Penderyn has named New Jersey-based Worldwide Libations as the brand’s U.S. importer, effective February 1. Penderyn’s whiskies are produced at three distilleries—Brecon Beacons, Llandudno, and Swansea Copperworks—and the brand’s portfolio is grouped into two collections, the Gold and Dragon ranges. The whiskies range from peated malts to those finished Sherry and Madeira casks, among other finishes and styles. The aim of the new partnership, according to Penderyn, is to further drive growth and expansion across the U.S.

Johnson Brothers’ luxury division Oxford Street Merchants is expanding its partnership with Napa Valley’s Peju Winery. Already linked in Hawaii, North Carolina, and Virginia, the two companies are now also aligning in Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and West Virginia. Based in Rutherford and including six vineyard estates totaling 616 acres, Peju is known for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Finvara The King’s Gambit, a new Irish whiskey, has launched in New York, Connecticut, Illinois, and Massachusetts. The 43% abv whiskey was created by Irish distiller David Hynes at the distillery at Fort of Dealgan by the Castle Town River. The new release carries a suggested price of $35 a 750-ml. bottle. While the launch is limited to four states, the brand’s importer, Mack Brands, plans to expand the whiskey across the U.S. throughout the year. Finvara is the second product in the Mack Brands portfolio, joining Conte Camillo, a ready-to-serve Negroni.
