Boston Beer’s Sun Cruiser Getting Big Game Exposure

Sun Cruiser, the iced tea and vodka-based RTD from Boston Beer, is making a regional ad buy for Sunday’s big-game finale to the NFL season. The brand’s spot will air in key media markets, including Boston, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, San Diego, and Tampa. The 15-second commercial is titled “Let the Good Times Cruise.” National Super Bowl ads commanded $7 million per 30-second spot this year.

“We see massive potential for Sun Cruiser, and this ad is just the beginning,” said Boston Beer founder Jim Koch. The brand is also expanding its range with a Lemonade & Vodka, at 4.5% abv in line with its original offering. Sun Cruiser jumped out to 800,000 cases in the U.S. last year in its debut, according to Impact Databank.—Daniel Marsteller
