•Diageo’s Orphan Barrel has introduced Fanged Pursuit Kentucky Straight Bourbon Aged 17 Years. Fanged Pursuit marks the first North American non-chill filtered Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey to be introduced in the Orphan Barrel collection. With a mashbill of 68-74% corn, 18-22% rye, and 8-10% malted barley, the newcomer is bottled at 46% abv and is rolling out to select retailers nationwide, carrying an SRP of $200 a 750-ml.

•Pernod Ricard’s Chivas Regal Scotch whisky has announced leading Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc as its global brand ambassador in a multiyear partnership. According to the company, the partnership will “encourage fans to forge their own paths in redefining success, celebrate the achievement of personal goals and creativity,” while highlighting LeClerc’s interests outside the racetrack, including his work as a self-taught composer and pianist. Chivas Regal had U.S. volume of 184,000 cases last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Tennessee’s Chattanooga Whiskey has debuted a new single barrel program for the distiller’s rye whiskies. The single barrels are made from Chattanooga’s triple malt mashbill that includes pale malted rye, caramel malted rye, and chocolate malted rye, making up more than 60% of the distillation grains. The single barrels will be available in select retailers in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin, with limited stocks available for DTC ordering through Seelbachs.
